MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

A new role has come to market with my client who are a leading provider of innovative and comprehensive packaging solutions across the UK. The company manufacture plastic packaging mainly for the food industry and have extrusion, thermoforming, in-mould labelling and printing machines.  

 

Integrating into a highly skilled maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out corrective and planned activities across a range of machinery within the production department.

  • Salary: £40,040 - £43,199 

  • Shift Pattern: 3 on 3 off, rotating days and nights. 7am – 7pm & 7pm - 7am 

  • 24 days holiday including bank holidays

What are they looking for in return

  • Maintain, and troubleshoot operational equipment. 

  • Experience in preventative maintenance (PPMs) 

  • Must have proven ability in diagnostic fault finding  

  • Experience in PLC Control systems, and PLC fault finding experience would be beneficial. 

  • Review and complete work order assignments. 

  • Independently observe, report, and correct facility and equipment discrepancies. 

  • Experience with Thermoformers beneficial 

  • Be proactive in preventing equipment failures and improving overall equipment performance by generating and implementing ideas and modifications 

  • Apprenticeship within Electrical/Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering or similar field  

  • Time-served (4+ years) with Mechanical or electrical bias to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) 

  • Post apprenticeship, FMCG or Food background
