Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £38,000

Location: Birmingham

A role has come to market for the a leading independent provider of fire safety glass for Steel, Aluminium & Timber applications. With production facilities based in both the UK and France *and strategically located sales locations, my client is strongly positioned to manufacture and supply the widest range of tested and certified fire safety glass products on a global scale.

Due to expansion of production facilities, we are looking to recruit an additional Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our existing small team of engineers. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will deliver planned and re-active maintenance across electromechanical machinery.

Responsibilities:

· Reactive and planned maintenance across 2 production sites

· Regular inspection, repair and improvement of machinery and equipment

· Ensure downtime is kept to a minimum to ensure the cost-effective running of the plant and equipment availability

· Support engineering projects

· Ensure HSE procedures are followed during all engineering activities

Key skills they are looking for in return:

· Three years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance role Minimum ONC or time served apprenticeship in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

· Time served Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

· In depth knowledge of pneumatic & electrical systems including diagnostic fault-finding.

· Must be able to attend to both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks

· Good of automated production processes in a manufacturing environment

· Excellent fault-finding / diagnostic skills
